The Mobile Phone Subscribers Association of Bangladesh has demanded that all the institutions and media used through digital format be kept open.
The organization drew the government's attention by sending this demand to the media on Thursday.
Mohiuddin Ahmed, president of the organization, and Advocate Abu Bakkar Siddique, general secretary, said technology was the only way to keep the country's economy afloat during the lockdown and the Corona epidemic. But this year, many technology formats have been shut down along with the lockdown, which is unfortunate.
Demanding that other courts be opened through virtualization, albeit for a temporary period, the leaders of the organization said that the High Court and other courts of the country's constitutional body, the Judiciary, are not being run through virtual media. Out of 35 courts of the Hon'ble High Court, only four ports have been kept operational. The convicts convicted without guilt are not able to take bail. If all the courts are kept open through virtualization, besides protecting the humanitarian aspect, the respect of the constitutional institutions of the country will remain intact.
Criticizing the decision to send ride-sharing to the country and shut down Uber, they said private cars used in ride-sharing are much safer than public transport. Even then they are off. But the country's public transport has been opened. About one lakh 20 thousand drivers of Pathao are currently in financial difficulties. So we think the government should open up all the organizations that run their activities using digital media.
