Paying the test fee through mobile wallet only without using money on paper to keep Kovid under control has received quite a response. The post office's mobile financial service 'Nagad' is the only one to provide this service to the people in times of crisis in the country.
In a joint venture with the government's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, arrangements have been made to conduct the Covid-19 test at the lowest cost in the country. The service has been running since the beginning of August last year. Under this, Covid-19 test is going to be done by going to the test center by paying only 100 taka fee through 'Nagad bill pay'. At present, Covid-19 examination fees are being paid in Dhaka, Chittagong and Noakhali through 'Nagad'.
Apart from this, the passengers going abroad can go to the test center for only Tk 1,500 and get tested in Kovid. In both cases there is an automatic charge of one per cent. In addition, the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) smart card holders traveling abroad, the corona test fee is 300 taka, for which a one percent charge is applicable.
Regarding the timely service, Tanvir A Mishuk, managing director of Nagad, said, "From the very beginning, Nagad has been working with the government to tackle the COVID epidemic." He thinks that being involved in this service work is also a part of that process.
"We are always working for the country and the people. And that's why we've only launched this service so far. As ‘nagad’ believes, the country will survive if people save! That is why we have sided with the government in paying the Covid Test fee through any touchless transaction to keep the country and the people of the country safe. People have been able to maintain at least some physical distance by paying the fee for the Covid test through 'nagad'. At the same time, the release of the virus through paper money has also been controlled, ”said Mishuk.
Customers can easily pay the Covid-19 test fee with the 'nagad' app or USSD. Android app users need to log in to the 'nagad' app and click the bill-pay button. Then the MOHFW COVID19 TEST and overseas passengers will have to click on the MOHFW Overseas Traveler COVID19 TEST Booth icon as per the booth choice. Then type PIN and tap and hold the confirmation SMS will come.
For Apple or iOS users, log in to the 'nagad' app, click on the bill-pay button and click on the MOHFW COVID19 TEST icon as per the booth choice. Overseas travelers need to click on the MOHFW Overseas Traveler COVID19 TEST Booth icon. At the same time you have to type the amount of money (300 / 1,500) and type the pin. Then tap and hold the confirmation SMS will come.
On the other hand, to pay the Covid test fee using USSD, dial * 16 # and select Bill-Pay by pressing 5 from the menu Select Covid19 Sample Collection Fee from the biller list, enter the amount of money (100 / 1,500) and type the PIN.
