The United States continues to work to stop Chinese technology. After a significant number of companies, including Huawei and DJI, six Chinese supercomputer companies have been added to the US blacklist. News Engadget.
According to the US Department of Commerce, six supercomputer companies and companies have been added to the blacklist. No US company will be able to supply and trade parts to these companies. U.S. officials say the companies build supercomputers to disrupt the military's modernization initiatives, nuclear weapons and hypersonic technology.
The blacklisted companies include Sunway, Shanghai High-Performance Integrated Circuit Divine Center and Tianjin Pythium Information Technology. There are also supercomputer centers in Jinan, Shenzhen, Wuxi and Zhengzhou.
China has not yet made an official response. However, the country is already focusing on local production by reducing its reliance on US technology. But the US blacklist is having an adverse effect.
