If there is a language barrier, communication becomes difficult. Cisco wants to remove this barrier, especially in the case of video meetings. To this end, the company has introduced a new instant (real-time) translation feature in their webex conferencing software. News Engadget.
This new feature can be translated from English into hundreds of languages. The list includes hundreds of local and international languages, including Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Dutch, Japanese, and Hindi. This feature will be seen in the latest version of the software.
As a result of this new feature, users will no longer need a third-party service for translation when the meeting is currently in multiple languages.
WebX users will be able to use the new feature experimentally this month. The company plans to launch the feature to the public in May.
