Google is displaying this red-green doodle to pay homage to Bangladesh's Independence Day. However, there is no touch of golden jubilee in this special doodle. So the issue has hurt Google users in Bangladesh at least a little bit.
The red and green national flag of Bangladesh has been hoisted in the middle of the blue sky in this special Google doodle displayed on Google's home page from 12 noon on Thursday (March 26). Clicking on this special doodle displays various information about the independence of Bangladesh including Wikipedia.
Holding or tapping the cursor on it raises 'Bangladesh Independence Day 2021'. And if you click on it, Google shows the history of Bangladesh Independence Day and related websites.
Google has been publishing special doodles on Independence Day for several years. In 2013, Google authorities first displayed Independence Day doodles. This time the doodle has been published by the Google authorities according to the last tied rule. But while world leaders are celebrating the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence, Google's behavior has been called into question on the golden jubilee of this tech savvy country which has a special place in the world of digital technology as a digital Bangladesh.
